Black marks around carpet
We have received a question in the ask the expert section from Mrs Claire Boyle from Preston, "What are the black marks that around the bedroom and hall carpets, and do your cleaning methods get rid of them?"
Firstly thanks Mrs Boyle for using this brand new facility in our website, the black marks around your carpet are called filtration this happens when airflow under the flooring comes up through the carpet backing bringing dust particles causing a darkening, you might also notice claw marks periodically also around the edges of the carpet, these are the carpet fitters kicker that have punctured the carpet whilst fitting. A prevention for this is to ask your carpet fitted to lay paper under the carpet, taped to the skirts effectively sealing the gaps.
Rhino Rocks have a cleaning product, filtration removal specially designed for this problem, although it is a fantastic solution, that works well the filtration will return until prevention action is taken.
